This Cape Breton group which takes its name from the Scottish Isle of Barra, has always been steeped in the Celtic tradition, but that sense of tradition doesn't hold them prisoner. Their traditional songs are flavoured with touches of both jazz and world beat that freshen the Celtic sound.
The will to experiment was evident from the start for the four multi- instrumentalist siblings: Stewart, Sheumas, Kyle and Lucy MacNeil. The group recently launched their latest CD "Racket in the Attic".
